AERMOD Modelling Support
Frequently Asked Questions
We produce technical modelling deliverables, documentation and QA memoranda. Direct engagement with regulators (formal submissions, hearings, approvals) is out of scope unless separately contracted.
A 90-minute diagnostic: review of error logs and control files, live screen-share with your modeller (if requested), root-cause identification and a short written note with recommended fixes. It does not include rebuilds, reruns or regulatory sign-off.
No. The control-file review service is a static audit: line-by-line checks, consistency and unit verification, and an annotated change list. We can apply minor, non-destructive edits only when explicitly agreed. For full runs choose Project Support or Turnkey.
We do not resell third-party meteorological data. We process client-supplied met datasets (SAMSON, raw surface/upper-air) and provide documented AERMET outputs. If you require data sourcing, we will advise preferred providers but will not purchase on your behalf unless explicitly contracted.
- Run Debug Session: same-week slots often available; report within 48 hours.
- Control-file review: 3–7 business days depending on complexity.
- Project Support (run-ready files): typically 3–10 business days.
- Turnkey studies: 4–8 weeks (data and scope dependent). Final schedule provided at scoping.
Starting prices are indicative minimums to screen enquiries. Final fees are set after a scoping call that confirms data availability, deliverables and regulatory context. We offer fixed-price or time & materials engagements as appropriate.
Deliverables vary by service but typically include versioned control files, AERMET outputs (if processed), model outputs, GIS/KML exports, a concise technical report or QA memo, and a handover note describing steps and assumptions.
We will sign NDAs on request. All client files and outputs are treated as confidential. Unless agreed otherwise, deliverables and licences follow the terms in the contract: you retain project data; we retain IP in our tools, workflows and proprietary notes.
Yes. We deliver globally from India and are familiar with jurisdictional differences. Tell us the regulatory standard during scoping and we will align assumptions and reporting accordingly.
Regulatory advice/approval, purchasing third-party data, full dataset wrangling beyond basic cleaning, and guarantees of regulator acceptance — unless specifically included in a Turnkey or custom contract.
No. Envitrans is software-first. We will not solicit or bid for projects in ways that compete with our consultant customers. Where a direct conflict could arise we either decline the work or offer a support-only, discreet (white-label) arrangement so your team remains the public consultant of record. Our role is technical backup — troubleshooting, QA, run-ready inputs and project assistance — not market competition.
