Feature overview

Overview

FDMpro implements the US EPA FDM and CALINE algorithms via a Windows desktop interface. It handles mixed sources (area, point, road emissions), computes both concentration and deposition, supports large numbers of sources and receptors, and enables output in tables, maps, and exports for GIS workflows.

User-friendly GUI

User interface for easy setup and management of sources, receptors and settings.

Mixed Source Types

Handles area, point and road (line) emissions together in a single model run.

Concentration & Deposition

Calculated together for airborne particles and ground deposition in same model.

Large Capacity

Up to 200 sources & 100,000 receptors per run.

Advanced Analysis & Reporting

Export tables, maps, GIS‐friendly outputs, summary reports.

Isopleths & Base‐map Plotting

Plot concentration / deposition isopleths over base maps for visualization.

Typical Uses & Applications

Mining Dust Control

Assess airborne deposition and concentration of dust from mining operations to ensure environmental safety.

Construction Sites Monitoring

Model dust emissions from construction activities and plan mitigation strategies.

Road Traffic Dust Dispersion

Evaluate dust from road traffic and its deposition on nearby land and sensitive receptors.

Regulatory Reporting & R&D

Provide detailed output for regulatory submissions, research or policy work.

Indian EIA Guideline Reference

“Prediction of fugitive dust levels in the surrounding area (24-hour average) should be carried out using a suitable computerized Fugitive Dispersion Model (FDM) based on the Gaussian plume formulation.”
