Convert Excel to SAMSON File Format
This tool converts hourly surface meteorological data from an Excel file into the SAMSON format, which is compatible with AERMET—a meteorological preprocessor used to prepare data for the AERMOD air dispersion model. Since AERMET does not support Excel files directly, converting to the SAMSON format ensures proper structuring and compatibility for AERMOD modelling.

File Format
Excel must have parameter codes in the first row. Red items are required.

Notes
- No unit conversion: Use correct units as shown.
- Negative values: Use for S (latitude) and W (longitude).
Missing Data
When enabled, the tool can estimate Global Radiation and related values if other parameters are present.
Use the "Estimate Missing Data" checkbox to activate this.
