Job Summary
Envitrans is looking for a highly skilled computer programmer who is comfortable with both front and back-end programming. The incumbent is responsible for developing and designing front end web architecture, ensuring the responsiveness of applications, and working alongside graphic designers for web design features, among other duties.
Full stack developers will be required to see out a project from conception to final product, requiring good organizational skills and attention to details.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Creating in-house web applications using Linux, Apache, Mysql and PHP.
- Developing front end website architecture.
- Developing back-end website applications.
- Ensuring cross-platform optimization and ensuring responsiveness of applications.
- Designing and developing APIs.
- Debugging and maintaining written code.
- Working in a project team alongside other developers.
- Reporting on project’s status and development to senior team members and Management.
- Participating in project meetings with management and other team members.
Desired Experience and Qualification
- A bachelor's degree in computer programming, computer science, or information technology.
- 2+ years of experience in full stack development using PHP Framework.
- Experience in developing web applications using PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Good experience of developing REST APIs.
- Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Proficiency with server-side languages such as Python, Java, PHP and .Net.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Ability to write clean, easy to understand and reusable codes.
- Ability to work independently and complete projects with minimal supervision.
- Should have good knowledge in Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies.
- Experience of Web GIS/Geospatial technologies and platforms is a plus.
